DMCA Takedown Notice Requirements

To file a DMCA takedown notice with us, you must provide a written communication that includes the following information (please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability):

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work: A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, or if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
  2. Identification of the infringing material: A description of where the material that you claim is infringing is located on our website, with sufficient detail so that we may locate it. Please provide the URL(s) of the specific page(s) where the allegedly infringing material appears.
  3. Your contact information: Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address so that we can contact you.
  4. Good faith statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. Accuracy statement: A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  6. Signature: Your physical or electronic signature, or the signature of a person authorized to act on your behalf.

Counter-Notification

If you believe that your material has been removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with us. To be effective, a counter-notification must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if you reside outside the United States, for any judicial district in which Interval Notation Guide may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided notification of the alleged infringement or an agent of such person

Repeat Infringers

It is our policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers of copyright. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that we determine, in our sole discretion, are repeatedly or flagrantly violating copyright laws.

Processing Time

We will respond to valid DMCA takedown notices within a reasonable time frame, typically within 1-2 business days of receipt. Upon receipt of a valid takedown notice, we will:

  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material
  • Notify the user who posted the material of the takedown
  • Provide information about how to file a counter-notification if applicable

Warning About False Claims

Please be aware that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorney's fees. Before submitting a DMCA takedown notice, please ensure that you are the actual copyright holder or are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright holder, and that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized.

Modifications to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this DMCA Policy at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page. Your continued use of the Service after any such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated DMCA Policy.
